About the Author
The author is a native New Yorker who would have done better in school if he had not changed majors twice in three semesters. Leaving college he worked as a lab assistant doing enjoyable but low paying work. An enlistment in the Army and two years in France was life changing. Married in 1959 he and his wife have five children and thirteen grandchildren. Never content for too long with anything he was successively a truck driver, salesman, NYC taxi driver, carpenter, Sunday School teacher and subcontractor. Then the whole family moved to the quiet and rural Eastern Shore of Maryland where he found work as an ironworker, timber cruiser and nuclear reactor maintenance worker. It was during this last occupation that he began to write, being out of town so often. He and his wife retired in 2006 and are enjoying life building furniture and experimenting with new recipes, respectively. His lifelong interest in religion, history, science and anthropology are reflected in his novels.
