About the Author
The author is a Ph.D. (New York University) and retired Professor Emeritus of management and organizational behavior. He held administrative and faculty positions in the graduate business programs of New York University and Long Island University. During his university career, he also served as a visiting professor at the University of Michigan and the military academy at West Point.
Throughout his career, he worked with mature students pursuing MBA (Master of Business Administration) degrees in evening classes. Concurrently, he also served as a Human Resource Consultant to leading business organizations and government agencies.
After “retiring,” he continued teaching in numerous Elderhostel programs. Here, he taught about a thousand knowledgeable, responsive retirees with both professional and non-professional backgrounds. He designed and conducted a workshop seminar on one-on-one conflict that linked theory with the collective wisdom of these sophisticated people.
This book strongly reflects the practical knowledge and priceless insights on handling one-on-one conflict the author gained from that experience.
