About the Author
Gerri D Smith, born in Delaware, lived briefly in the nation’s capitol, then relocated to California. For the past 44 years, she has called California her home state. Married, has one living son, and one son who lost his life too soon in 2003, and a grandson and a granddaughter. One year ago, Gerri retired from a full time day job, while also being self-employed part-time, now devotes her full time to operating her two online businesses. Her life becomes more challenging everyday.
Gerri mingles her two passions: fashion apparel design, and creative writing between two separate online businesses: Distinctive-Elegance, and Inspirational Connections. For the past 29+ years, she has helped women look and feel good about themselves. Her one-of-a-kind evening wear and accessory collections are marketed through "Distinctive-Elegance," an online virtual boutique and is the fashion design side of the first business. Her apparel and accessories are tailored exclusively for executive women, socialites, entertainers, women business owners, and all women who love to dress up when they go out.
Her expertise shows in a quality articles, special reports, and an online educational course on "Fashion, Beauty and Wellness." The course is available for that certain lady who wishes to learn more about the exciting world of fashion. Included are lessons on style, shopping and beauty tips, nutrition, health and staying well.
On the writing side of the second business, "Inspirational Connections," Gerri publishes free self-improvement, motivational, and inspirational articles that are published monthly by more than 5,954 online newsletter publications. Gerri has been motivating others with her inspirational words for over 20 years. She feels that inspirational words solve a need and offers comfort. Her articles, eBooks, and special reports connect with your spirit and your soul. With the economy as stressful as it is today, it is nice to know an encouraging word or two compels you to think and act differently, thus, triggering positive emotions.
In August 2009, with great pride and humble joy, the publication of her first inspirational romance fiction novel titled, “A Challenge of Love,” hit the literary market.
