
About the Author
Jura MacLean Sherwood was born in London, England. She was seven years old in 1940 when she was evacuated to South Africa, where she stayed for over five years. At eighteen, in search of adventure, she enlisted in the Women’s Royal Air Force.
She and her American born husband have lived all over the United States from Alaska to California and Washington, D.C. to Washington State. Their last assignment was four years in Saudi Arabia.
While raising her four children Jura pursued her avocation of genealogy, earning a Professional Certificate in Genealogical Research from Brigham Young University.
Jura, and her husband of 55 years, live in Phoenix, Oregon where she writes historical fiction and teaches genealogy.
When the first of her six books was published in 2002, Jura started the Southern Oregon Book and Author Fair. She has followed that up with publication of a book and the Book Fair in each succeeding year.
In 2005 her first non-fiction work titled In the Shadow of the Mosque, about her life as a middle-aged woman living on a United Nations compound in Saudi Arabia, was published.
She won a writing contest in 2006. The first prize was publication, and Christmas in Time a short story, was released in time for the Christmas season.
Sometime, Somewhere, her sixth book, was published in October, 2007.

Neither is aware they have loved each other in many previous lives and that their present meeting was predestined by her tragic death in Colonial New Amsterdam in 1647, and his vow to find her again – “Sometime, Somewhere.”
