About the Author
I hold a Ph.D. Degree in Communicative Disorders (focused on language acquisition, phonological disorders, and fluency disorders) from the University of Illinois. Taught for 22 years in the School of Communicative Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I am now retired and hold the rank of Professor Emerita. During retirement I have become a Master Gardener, have studied water color painting, and have learned to downhill ski (favorite places are South Shore of Lake Tahoe and Winter Park). I was raised in CA, but love the midwest, especially WI. We live on 6 acres and travel to a pretty lake home frequently to enjoy boating and fishing. We often vacation with my daughter, my grandson and his wife, Bill's 5 children and his 11 grandchildren. Life is good (and also fun).
