About the Author
Rocco Fumento, Profesor Emeritus in English, Film and Creative Writing at the University of Illinois, was born in North Adams, Massachusetts, in the heart of the Berkshires.  He has published three previous novels:  Devil by the Tail, Tree of Dark Reflection, A Decent Girl Always Goes to Mass on Sunday.  He has also published two books on film studies, a creative writing textbook on the short story, and numerous short stories and articles on film.  Mr. Fumento has a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing-English from Columbia University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Writers Workshop of the University of Iowa.  He currently resides with his wife, Tobey, and his dog, Pepperoni, in Dalton, Massachusetts, twenty miles from his birthplace.  Mr. Fumento has four sons, David, Michael, Andrew and Matthew dispersed throughout the country.
