Chuck Alianza, a former missionary, now a cabinet maker and author resides with his wife, three cats and a dog (not necessarily in that order) in the foothills near Tucson, Arizona. His education includes Prairie Bible College on the Canadian prairies, linguistic training with Summer Institute of Linguistics and training with New Tribes Mission. - Books

Soon Comes Sunrise vividly recounts the author's childhood in the jungles of the Philippines during WWII. The night brought safety from the ongoing searchings of the enemy, but sunrise always brought dread. They were prime targets for the enemy not only because they were Americans, but his father was leader of a local guerrilla force. That position, however, proved to be vital in their escape by American submarine, the last sub to dare breech the Japanese blockade. A group of their American missionary friends were not so lucky. -
Twenty-six years later, with his own young family he returned to the same locale where they worked as medical and linguistic missionaries. There they built a tribal hospital which is still functional today, translated portions of the Bible into the tribal language which until then had not been written and reconnected with some who had saved his life as a child.
